Zane, a vampire and Nola, an Amazon, met while they were thrown together in The Vampire's Bride. The two seemed drawn to each other and we saw a little of their story.

This book takes place months after The Vampire's Bride. Delilah is pregnant and living happily with Layel. Nola is living out her curse from the Gods. She cannot be seen, heard or felt and is attached to the Amazon camp. Zane is also living out his curse as a slave to the Amazons.

Nola confesses to Zane things about how she feels about him (even though initially he cannot hear it). Every times he confesses something she gets something back. He is able to see her, hear her, eventually touch her and the final piece is when she is able to leave the Amazon camp.

The two have a whirlwind romance. Seem to fall in love too quickly and everything is tied up too fast.

This book is only available in digital format. I have come across that in the past but have never had a digital reader before. Now that I do - this was the first time I was able to read it and I was excited. The excitement didn't last - the story wasn't long enough and you never get to really know and feel for the characters. It was merely lukewarm.
